The Monticolo Lakes are located in the middle of the Monticolo nature reserve with its wonderful mixed forest at 492 meters above sea level. The Monticolo lakes can be reached by car in 20 minutes or alternatively by bike. A hiking trail leads around the Monticolo lakes, along the course of which you can find cozy places to cool off or relax. For pedestrians and cyclists, a wooden walkway was created through the reed belt, on which the fauna of the biotope can be observed undisturbed.
The Favogna (or Fenner) bathing lake is the jewel of Favogna di Sotto. Over 35 species of orchids, crayfish and other animal and plant species find a protected habitat in the biotope around Lake Favogna. Although the lake is designated as a biotope with unusual flora and fauna, a small pier offers the opportunity to swim with a breath-taking panorama. Accessible by car or via hiking trails, the plateau offers numerous opportunities for walking. The plateau is also recommended as a destination for a bike tour, be it for mountain bikers, motorcyclists, or racing cyclists.
In Aldino there is a small swimming lake, the Göllersee, which is almost like a fairy tale in the middle of the forest. Nearby there are panoramic points such as Croda Rossa and Burgstallegg, from which you can see the South Tyrolean lowlands and the entire Adige Valley.
