The Lake Caldaro is just a few kilometers away (4.5) from the hotel and can be easily reached by bike or car. It is the largest lake in South Tyrol and the warmest in the Alps. The Lake Caldaro captivates with its diverse array of colors. At times, it's a deep blue, while at other times, it reflects the surrounding landscape in shades of green. Whether you prefer paddling on the water with a paddleboat, sailing, windsurfing, or simply relaxing, Lake Caldaro has something for everyone.
The Monticolo Lakes are situated in the midst of the Monticolo Nature Reserve with its magnificent mixed forest at an elevation of 492 meters. The lakes can be reached by car in 20 minutes or alternatively by bike. A hiking trail surrounds the Monticolo Lakes, providing several cozy spots along the way for cooling off or relaxation. For pedestrians and cyclists, a wooden walkway has been created through the reed belt, allowing undisturbed observation of the local wildlife.
The Fennberger (or Fenner) Bathing Lake is the gem of Unterfennberg. With over 35 orchid species, crayfish, and other flora and fauna, the biotope around Lake Fenner provides a protected habitat. Although designated as a biotope with unique flora and fauna, a small pier offers the opportunity to swim amid breathtaking panoramas. Accessible by car or hiking trails, the plateau provides numerous opportunities for leisurely walks. It is also highly recommended as a destination for cycling tours, catering to mountain bikers, motorcyclists, or road cyclists.
In Aldino, there is a small bathing lake, the Göllersee, which appears almost like a fairytale setting in the middle of the forest. Surrounded by panoramic points like Rotwand and Burgstallegg, the lake offers an idyllic setting from which you can overlook the South Tyrolean Unterland and the entire Etschtal. The lake is approximately a 30-minute walk from the starting point near the Aldein fire station via hiking trail No. 17b. Combining swimming and hiking, the Göllersee provides a truly unique experience.
